May is going to Rock!

Hey there everyone! I hope things are going great for you on this Monday morning. Here are a couple things that are coming up for us in May!

1. May we are doing a series called Greater than. We are going to be talking about having a life that is greater than we ever thought! Christ came and did some amazing things on this earth and we can learn so much about having a better relationship with Him from those events. Come and hang out with us as we discuss how to have a great than life in Christ!

2. We will be closing this chapter on our student impact team, and we will be welcoming our new students into our student impact team. We have some great students that have applied and we will have a fantastic group for next year.

3. We will be having a pancakes and sausage fundraiser for our Urban Plunge missions trip on May 20th! You should definitely be there in the morning for that. It's a donation for all you can eat pancakes and sausage. That is a great stinking deal. We hope that we will see you on May 20th.

4. We will be having our Seniors running our last Wednesday night of the year. We call it our Senior Legacy night and they rock it out every year. I am super pumped for that night.

Urban Plunge Information meeting

Hey there everyone! I hope things are going well for you. I loved being able to hang out with a couple groups last night, it sounded like a ton of you had fun last night.

Here are a couple things for you to be aware of.

1. Tonight there is an urban plunge information meeting, we have 3 people who went last year who are going to share their stories, and they are going to tell students and parents what you can expect on this trip. The meeting is from 6pm - 7pm tonight here at CVMC! It will be in the lobby where you come in for Sunday morning church. This meeting is for parents and students, we would love to have as many students and parents there as possible. We will also have all the permissions slips, and packing lists there tonight for you to take home with home with you.

2. Movie Night tomorrow night at Pastor Adam and Esther's house. We hope you can make it over there tomorrow night at 8pm - 10pm. We are going to be rocking the new Muppet Movie! It's actually pretty hilarious. So as always we will provide the popcorn, but you need to bring your own pop or water.  Our Address is 14075 Claire Lane, we hope you guys can make it. It's always fun, and we hope you can make it!

Small Group outing

Hey there everyone, tonight is our small group outing night and so we will not be having normal youth group tonight. Make sure you know where your small groups are heading tonight, if you don't please email me at cvmcadam@gmail.com. I will make sure you know where your group is heading, and when you need to be there.

Small group outing nights can be so stinking fun if you show up! The small group leaders don't mess around when they plan these outings, they have some seriously great idea's. So you should text, call or email your small group leader today and make sure you know exactly where you are going tonight for your small group outing.

Small Group's going Crazy!

Hey there everyone, I hope things are going well with you today. I want to tell you of 2 things today.

1. Small Group outings are tomorrow night, and from the sound of it, they are going to rock. We have some groups going to restaurants, some are going to play sports together, and I even hear some are going to try to break the record of points at Cici's pizza! I believe the record is right around 60. (2 points for every piece of pizza, 1 for everything else) I know impressive!  Please contact your small group leaders to see where you are going if you have missed the past couple weeks. 2. Urban plunge information meeting: Thursday night at 6pm - 7pm. This is where we are going to be walking through what it is all about to go on an urban plunge missions trip. We will be going over what they will be doing that week, all the details of what to bring, and you will hear from students, and leaders who have gone before and what they have experienced. I promise these trips will be worth going on and they are so stinking awesome. So if you are able to join us that night please bring your students with you who are planning on going on this trip because they will want to hear from the leaders and students.

Small Group outings

Hey there everyone! This week is a little different then our normal weeks, this week we are doing small group outings. What this night is all about is having a ton of fun, and maybe inviting a couple of your friends to see what youth group is all about!

Because our REFUGE is all about making authentic relationships, having tons of fun, and encouraging each other to strive after Christ in everything that we do. That is what we are all about.

This Wednesday night please make sure you are contacting your small group leader because each small group is doing something different and most of the small groups are going to be gone for most of the night! Some small groups aren't even meeting at the church, so contact your small group leader for all the information.

If for some reason you can't get a hold of your small group leader please contact me at cvmcadam@gmail.com, and I will get in contact with them quickly and make sure they know you need to know what's going down!

Shredder and going the extra mile

Hey there everyone, I hope things are going well for you! Man last night was super fun. Let me Recap:

1. We did a really cool thing last night with a shredder, last night during our last song called "Grace like Rain" we brought a shredder to the stage, and we had students write down anything they wanted to get rid of in their lives. Sin, bad decisions, anything they wanted to get rid of they could. They wrote it on a piece of paper and put it in the shredder. It was awesome, I can honestly say we had almost 100% participation in this. It was super cool!

2. We talked about Jesus going the Extra mile in Luke 5. Where he didn't just heal the leapor, He touched him! He didn't have to, he could of just spoke into being and he could of been on His way but he didn't he stopped and made something clean that wasn't clean. I love it!

3. We talked about how we can go the extra mile for people, like this summer with our urban plunge missions trip, with helping in preteen, with getting on board with our student impact team, coming early on Wednesday and helping get things set up. We have so many opportunities at REFUGE to go the extra mile for others its awesome!

Get dirty

Hey there everyone, tonight we are talking about getting dirty.

We are going to be discussing what it means to help people, and also the means at which we can do that. We have some awesome ways you can get plugged into helping people with this youth group, and you can find out about them all tonight.

What to expect: A ton of fun games, people, and worship. Expect to be challenged through reading of the bible, and through thought provoking questions in small groups.
