Serving others

Hey there everyone, I hope things are going well for you on this Monday.

Here is whats going down this Wednesday night.

We are going to be doing a message on serving, which I am calling "Get Dirty" for so many of us in this world we want things that are given to us. We want to work less and get more perks. Well it doesn't work that way. We have to get dirty, we have to get into the mud sometimes and work hard to have a rewarding experience.

I remember when our soccer team in high school won sectionals. The entire season we worked hard, we practiced every day after school even in rain and snow, we pushed each other, we ran, we bloodied each other by going hard to the ball. But it was so worth it because at the end of the season got to hold up a pretty sweet trophy that will stay in the halls of Concord forever.

The same thing with our relationship with Christ, we have to work at it, we can't sit around and expect God to speak to us while we are being lazy. That is why we need to serve others, read our bibles and do what it says, we need to pray, worship, fast, and we need to be with other believers and be encouraged by them.

This Wednesday night we are going to talk about what it means to serve others, and how we can actually grow closer to Christ by pouring ourselves out for others. We are also going to look at how Jesus served others. Jesus has some really awesome stories about serving others. I can't wait to talk through them with you.
